Yes, this was already done in 0.1 release, but it is an important upgrade in gimpgallery: the new home page
Gimpgallery chose to be quite different, an innovative website, with a lot of custom solutions.
One of this is the content organization.
We both wanted to make a beatiful websites where users (gimp artists or not) could enjoy their browsing and to make things easy for the visitor. So when you reach gimpgallery you see a splash, presenting gimpgallery and giving you some useful links to the site main sections and some others to the special sections we provided, such as quickstart or "i'm feeling lucky".
When you enter the website you will always have a link to the home page and this is what we're talking about. The home is a special page where we wanted to give you a taste of the gimp world. You find news coming from the best gimp resources online. This means that we would like to collaborate with those ones, because we will never produce news, infos andf tutorials about gimp as well as they actually do. But we have a powerful image handling and we would like to complete the gimp online resources. So we link other good resources for gimp inofos and we would like them to link us when we will be online to find gimp images, instead.
We will contact these websites, like gimp.org, gimpusers.com, gimptalk.net, to build this network!
Da.
