We're working full time on gimpgallery at now, trying to fix the issues we are noticing.
There's always a lot to do when you've made such a big and complex website.
So we're not promoting gimpgallery at the moment, but we still need gimp users to register and publish their images to create an archive just to be ready to move the website in its official internet address and to officially release it.

We added a wysiwyg text editor in gimpgallery.
It works in comments and forum topics creation by clicking on the "enable wysiwyg" link below the textarea.
It is a minimal rich text editor and that was what we wanted, these are the users allowed to use richtext:
